I finished the sleeves on Wednesday night.
Whew! I didn’t think plain old stockinette sleeves would be such a slog. As I was finishing I debated with myself what to do next. Should I continue with this sweater, or cast on for #2’s sweater and mix it up a bit? I don’t want to get bogged down in one thing and never get to the next, although I don’t want to leave it all unfinished, either. My decision:
Monogamy. I want to get all the pieces of this sweater knit before I move on to the next one. I may not seam it all before I start a new project, but it will all be knit. So be it.
I’ve noticed a drawback to October. This is what my morning light now looks like:
Granted, it’s a bit cloudy, but the sun has not yet peeked round the bend. This could have a serious impact on my blog-photo taking…since it’s already getting dark by the time I get home from work, too. I might just have to do something crazy and make a lightbox of some sort. We’ll see.
In other news, we’re preparing the lime tree for its move inside for the winter. So far we’ve moved it into a shadier spot:
(this is it a couple days ago…just for comparison, here it is back in May)
Grown quite a bit, eh? We hope it doesn’t mind coming inside…the little baby limes didn’t make it, but we think it was so it could concentrate on growing and filling out. Here’s hoping!
Anyway, have a good weekend, all! I hope to do nothing but knit.
